Accuracy for a single measurement<\/b> point using the Laser Tracker is about 0.025 mm, which equals 25 micrometers (at close distances from the head). To make it easier to imagine this value, it is worth mentioning that the human eye is unable to perceive objects smaller than 0.040 mm. A typical Laser Tracker system consists of<\/b> from a laser tracker head, a control unit with power supply (MCU – master control unit) and additional measurement adapters and countless accessories that we design according to the project requirements. An indispensable part of the kit is also a powerful computer that runs the measurement software.<\/span><\/p>

How does the Laser Tracker work?<\/b> The system emits a red laser beam that reflects off a retroreflector prism mounted centrally in an adapter shaped like a very precisely made sphere. The important thing is that the beam is completely safe for those in the vicinity. The beam then returns to the head and reflects on the position detector. The light reflected from the target therefore returns along the same path and reaches the device at exactly the same point from which it was emitted. The ADM (Absolute Distance Meter) system, allows absolute distance measurement using the phase shift of the emitted laser beam. The device is equipped with two rotary angle encoders to calculate the position of the retroreflector. By measuring two angles (vertical and horizontal) and a distance, the coordinates of the measured point can be determined. <\/span><\/p>

Another advantage of this tool is the ability to work even in difficult conditions <\/b>industrial.
