Our goal was a detailed assessment of the straightness and parallelism of the tracks of four stacker cranes, operating in an automated system. This type of infrastructure requires the utmost precision &#8211; even small deviations can lead to problems with traffic flow, increased wear on mechanical components or even downtime.  <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"834\">How did the measurements work?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"1191\">For the task, we used the <strong data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"906\">FARO Vantage S Laser Tracker<\/strong> &#8211; the most accurate measurement device available on the market capable of evaluating geometry for long distances. The measurement covered three planes of each rail: top, left and right. Based on these, we created individual coordinate systems, which allowed us to precisely analyze deviations with respect to ideal reference surfaces.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1224\">This made it possible, among other things:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1465\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1295\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1295\">Locating the locations of the largest deviations from the level (correct leveling),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1395\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1395\">Comparison of the geometry of the left and right sides of the rails &#8211; to the nearest tenth of a millimeter,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1465\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1465\">Evaluate the impact of rail deformation on the operation of the entire transport system.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-24189\" src=\"https:\/\/treon.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/ukladnica-magazynowa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/treon.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/ukladnica-magazynowa.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/treon.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/ukladnica-magazynowa-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1510\">Why take such measurements?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1726\">Warehouse stacker cranes are the heart of modern internal logistics systems. Their trouble-free operation depends to a great extent on the quality of the tracks on which they move.
