At such moments, <strong data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"425\">3D measurements<\/strong> play a key role, allowing engineers to make decisions based on actual dimensions and geometric relationships. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"533\" data-end=\"742\">In one of our recent projects, we had the opportunity to support modernization work carried out at an <strong data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"665\">Austrian hydroelectric power plant<\/strong>, where our task was to <strong data-start=\"704\" data-end=\"739\">measure the geometry of the turbine generator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"761\">Purpose of measurement<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"843\">During the upgrade, we performed comprehensive measurements of the hydro <strong data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"833\">turbine<\/strong> unit to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"1073\">\n<li data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"905\">\n<p data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"905\">to know <strong data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"881\">the actual geometry of<\/strong> the key components of the hydrosystem,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"906\" data-end=\"982\">\n<p data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"982\">Determine <strong data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"979\">the dimensional relationships between mounting surfaces<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1073\">\n<p data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1073\">preparation of data that could be used in further design stages.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1208\">The information gathered was used by designers to <strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1205\">design modifications to increase the efficiency of the entire power plant unit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1255\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-29679\" src=\"https:\/\/treon.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/hydrozespol-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/treon.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/hydrozespol-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/treon.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/hydrozespol-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/>Technology that supports modernization<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1256\" data-end=\"1473\">The use of <strong data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1298\">precise 3D measurements<\/strong> makes it possible to quickly and accurately represent the actual state of the structure. This allows not only to detect discrepancies between documentation and reality, but also: <\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1646\">\n<li data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1516\">\n<p data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1516\">Evaluate wear and deformation of structures,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1517\" data-end=\"1568\">\n<p data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1568\">Plan the necessary modifications,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1646\">\n<p data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1646\">minimize the risk of errors during installation and subsequent repair work.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1671\">Effect for the customer<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1793\">Once the measurements were completed, the client received a detailed report with full geometric documentation of the turbine unit.
