Equipment certifications – ISO standards – accreditations -.
Our measuring tools are subjected to very demanding periodic inspection tests to ensure the accuracy of the device.
Our Quantum S series measuring arm is regularly certified by an accredited laboratory in Germany according to ISO 10360-12 is the first portable arm on the market to obtain this international certificate of conformity. https://www.iso.org/standard/63931.html
The FARO LLP scanner we use with the QUANTUM arm is tested according to the methods in ISO 10360-8 Annex D https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:std:iso:10360:-8:ed-1:v1:en
FARO EDGE and FARO PLATINUM arms are certified to ASME B89.4.22 including tests: effective measured diameter test, single point repeatability test, volumetric system performance test. https://www.asme.org/codes-standards/find-codes-standards/b89-4-22-methods-performance-evaluation-articulated-arm-coordinate-measuring-machines
The Laser Trackers owned by na Laser Trackers are also regularly tested in accredited laboratories. Certification is based on the standard from the ASME system with the number B89.4.19. This is a standardized method for calibrating laser trackers using NIST standards. The standard was officially released by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in December 2006, several years after the FARO Laser Tracker was developed and began production. https://www.asme.org/products/codes-standards/b89419-2006-performance-evaluation-laserbased
